American Ecological Engineering Society (AEES)

3rd Annual Meeting

University of Maryland

College Park, MD USA

May 28-30, 2003

Sponsorship Invitation

The Organizing Committee of the American Ecological Engineering Society’s 3rd annual meeting would like to invite companies, agencies, organizations and individuals to attend and sponsor the AEES annual meeting at the University of Maryland in May 2003. The theme for the 3rd annual meeting, Designing Green Partnerships of Nature and Humanity, will focus on improving and expanding the theory, principles, practices, and academic foundations of ecological engineering in innovative approaches bringing together government, academia, and industry partners.

We expect excellent attendance at this meeting because of the quality of invited speakers and scientific sessions being planned, as well as the diverse ecological engineering, cultural, and entertainment opportunities in the Washington, D.C. region.  Because we know that our ability to put on a high quality conference at a reasonable cost is dependent on contributions from supporters of ecological engineering, we have established several mechanisms to demonstrate our appreciation for the generosity of our sponsors.

How Sponsorship Benefits AEES: Through general or targeted sponsorship donations, the AEES is able to offer a reasonably priced technical conference at a major research university located minutes from the U.S. Capitol, the Smithsonian national museums, and the Chesapeake Bay. Our commitment to provide an affordable, high quality technical conference is based on our belief that a well-priced conference will increase attendance and thus, scientific exchange.

Because the success of this conference depends on scientific exchanges between diverse groups of professionals involved in ecological engineering, we want to make this conference affordable for US and international ecological engineering professionals and students. Your sponsorship donations will help us to achieve this goal.

How Sponsorship Benefits You: To express our thanks to our sponsors, we will clearly recognize and acknowledge the generosity of our sponsors to registered and prospective conference participants. The organizing committee has established several mechanisms to acknowledge contributions that contribute to the success of the 3rd AEES annual meeting. For example, all of our sponsors will be recognized in the meeting program. At certain levels of sponsorship, we also will provide you with a number of opportunities to highlight your individual expertise, services, products, specialties, or work in ecological engineering and to send individuals from your organization to participate in this conference.
